Following on from its notification in December, INS and PNTL will ship highly active waste from Sellafield to Japan in the near future.

The vessel used will be the Pacific Grebe, a state-of-the-art purpose-built ship crewed by some of the most experienced nuclear transport mariners in the world.

Shortly after the vessel has departed, broad details of the voyage route and timings will be disclosed.
